What does Reject 429 Too Many Requests mean on the DXtrade API?
DXtrade Push API: the vendor says that if the access rate is exceeded, a Reject message "429 Too Many Requests" is sent. It says rate limits currently apply only to subscriptions with RequestType = ALL, with a default of 1 per minute for each user and subscription name.
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.
How do I fix Reject 429 Too Many Requests?
Slow down: space out subscription requests with RequestType = ALL so that they stay within the configured rate.
