Brokers with no retail API

6 of the 21 broker records here are recorded as having no API of the broker's own: 4 on a statement verified at its source and 2 on an unverified statement, labelled below. An account there can often still be automated through a trading platform's API.

Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.

What no retail API means here

It means the broker's record on this site is marked as having no trading API of its own for retail clients. It does not mean an account cannot be automated. Many brokers offer third party trading platforms, and those platforms have their own APIs, which work with any broker that offers the platform.

A record is only as good as its sources. Where a line below is labelled unverified, no page was found that settles it, and it should be read as a lead and not as a fact.
