About this site, and how facts are checked

An independent, educational reference for retail broker trading APIs. It teaches how they work and how to use them safely, and recommends no broker, product or trade. It is not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by any broker or platform it covers.

Independent and unofficial

Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.

Who publishes it

This site is called Broker API Hub and its address is openbrokerapi.com. The name and the address belong to the same site, and no other address is this site.

Modular Trading Solutions Ltd, 9 Mandeville Close, London SW20 8SB. Company number 01869330. Contact: hello@openbrokerapi.com.

How a fact gets onto a page

Every statement about a broker's API is held as a record with the page it was read on and the date that page was last opened. Pages do not restate facts: they print the record. The same limit, access route or error meaning therefore reads the same everywhere it appears.

Each fact carries one of four states.

A page that could not be opened is recorded as not verified. An address that returns an error is never treated as evidence that something does not exist.

The fact register holds the figures that appear on more than one page, with the earlier readings each replaced.

What a checked date means

The date beside a fact is the date its source was last opened and read. It is never the date the site was rebuilt. Much of the current data was carried over from an earlier version of this site with its original dates, and has not all been reopened since.

How often records are re-read, as it stands rather than as a promise: of the 2,479 records that carry a review state, 2,464 were read at source within the 30 days up to 12 Oct 2026, the newest checked date among them, and 2,256 carry the state verified at source with a date.

How brokers are listed

Every retail trading API in scope is listed, whether or not its broker pays anyone or runs a partner programme. There is no paid placement, no sponsored ranking and no editorial ranking: lists are ordered by name or by a stated, documented field. This site carries no affiliate links. Disclosures has the detail.

The register covers 21 brokers and 8 platform APIs. FIX and institutional only APIs are out of scope.

What this site is not

It is not investment advice, it does not recommend any broker, product or trade, and it is not a substitute for a broker's own documentation. Code samples are written from documentation and are marked where they have not been run.
