Corrections and right of reply
If something here is wrong about your firm, your product or your code, we want to fix it and show that we did.
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.
How to reach us
Write to hello@openbrokerapi.com. Say which page, what it says and what the correct reading is, with a link to a page that shows it.
What will be accepted
- A correction from anyone, about any page: which page, what it says, what the correct reading is, and a link to a public page that shows it.
- A right of reply from a firm, a product owner or the owner of a repository named here: your position in your own words, with a link to its source.
- A request to mark a reading as out of date, with the page that now says otherwise.
A correction needs a source that anyone can open. A statement with no public page behind it can be shown as the firm's stated position, and is labelled as that.
How a correction is made
- The record behind the fact is changed, so every page that prints it changes together.
- The earlier reading is kept in the fact register, marked as replaced, with the date and the reason.
- The site cannot be rebuilt while the earlier reading still appears anywhere as a current claim.
- A firm that disagrees with a reading may have its position stated beside the fact, with a link to its source.
