Broker API changes, week 41 2026
3 dated changes from 5 Oct 2026 to 11 Oct 2026, grouped by broker or platform. Each one links the page it was read on.
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.
A change is filed under the week that holds its own date, as its source gives it. That is not always the week this site read it. The checked date beside each source is the day that page was last opened.
eToro
Documentation
eToro's API portal moved its authentication page under /core/getting-started; the old address no longer opens. The page still states the key creation route and the three request headers. The rule that the key pair and a bearer token are mutually exclusive is stated on the SSO with OAuth 2.0 page, which is now cited beside it.
Affected pages: the eToro record, everything recorded for it as one file and its own RSS feed.
FXCM
Ecosystem
FXCM's REST API repository on GitHub did not open on 9 Oct 2026, and FXCM's public list of repositories read the same day shows FIXAPI, JavaAPI, ForexConnectAPI and MarketData but no REST API repository. Whether it was removed or made private is not verified. This site no longer links it, and the entry of 31 March 2023 that rested on an issue in it is now marked not verified.
Affected pages: the FXCM record, everything recorded for it as one file and its own RSS feed.
XTB
Documentation
The XTB help centre article this site cited for the closure of the xAPI, Do you offer API, no longer opens. The statement now sits in a different article, which says API access is no longer available and the service was discontinued on 14 March 2025. XTB's claims on this site stay verified against the new article; wording that named the former hosts was removed because the new article does not name them.
XTB help centre: Does XTB offer investment automation tools?checked
Affected pages: the XTB record, everything recorded for it as one file and its own RSS feed.
