What does 503 (tws out of date) mean on the Interactive Brokers API?
Interactive Brokers lists TWS API client error code 503 with the text "The TWS is out of date and must be upgraded." (the vendor's wording). This is a client error raised in the TWS API client code. TWS or IB Gateway is too old for the API version in use. The vendor says it can also be triggered if the TWS version does not support a specific API function.
