What does 404 (shares not available short) mean on the Interactive Brokers API?
Listed by the vendor as "Shares for this order are not immediately available for short sale. The order will be held while we attempt to locate the shares". TWS is holding the order: it is a sell with no long position, and no shares are available for short sale. The vendor says the order will be transmitted once short sale availability exists.
