What does 10213 (regulatory snapshot restricted) mean on the Interactive Brokers API?
TWS API error 10213 begins "API access is restricted on regulatory snapshot for". The words in quotes are Interactive Brokers' own. The message goes on to name the symbol, security type and primary listing exchange. The vendor's note says it indicates that regulatory snapshots are not permitted, typically because real time market data is displayed in TWS for a symbol when the same market data subscriptions are not available through the API.
