Get your IG trade history into a spreadsheet

Use the IG website, not the app: in My IG, open Live accounts, then History, pick your dates and all transaction types, and download the account ledger summary. IG UK says it comes only as a CSV file. We found no export in the mobile app.

Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.

Steps

  1. Log in on the website

Log in on the IG website, not the app, and open your My IG dashboard.

  4. Download it

On the history tab, choose all transaction types and your dates, then download the account ledger summary. IG says it comes only as a CSV file, which opens in Excel or Google Sheets. For UK tax, use 6 April to 5 April.

  5. Or use statements

Open the statements tab to get daily or monthly statements. IG's UK help says these are PDF files, so they suit reading rather than a spreadsheet. IG does not state a date limit.

  6. On the mobile app

Confirmed: My IG on the web, opened in a phone's browser, works the same as on a computer, log in and follow the steps above. Unconfirmed: whether the IG app itself has its own export feature, because IG's help pages describe only the website and never mention the app; we have not tested the app, so we neither claim it works nor that it does not. Likeliest route on a phone, unchecked on a phone by this site: open ig.com in your phone's browser and use My IG as above.

  7. Pull the same records with the API

GET /history/transactions (version 2) and GET /history/activity (version 3) return the same records as data; both appear in IG's official Java sample. Paging details (pageSize and pageNumber, or following paging.next) come from the community trading-ig client.
