Saxo API error code
Saxo API error TradeNotCompleted: trade not completed
What does TradeNotCompleted mean on the Saxo API?
The order endpoint waited 60 seconds without hearing back from the broker, so it answered 202 Accepted with an OrderId and this code. Saxo's page says the status of the order is unknown at that point and that it will very likely still be routed to market. Any related orders in the request are cancelled.
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.
How do I fix TradeNotCompleted?
Treat the order as unknown, not as failed. Saxo's page recommends watching the /port/v1/orders endpoint for the exact status of your open orders, and warns that the entry order can be left without its related stop or limit orders.
