Saxo API error code
Saxo API error: HTTP 403
What does HTTP 403 mean on the Saxo API?
Forbidden. Saxo's documentation describes one specific case: its network security layer, Akamai, rejects requests from an IP address with a low reputation score before they reach OpenAPI, returning 403 with an HTML body titled Access Denied and a reference number. The block can last from several minutes to permanently.
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.
How do I fix HTTP 403?
Saxo's page says to review your application's access patterns for excessive duplicate, similar or failing requests and for repeatedly reaching the request quotas, and notes that shared IP addresses are more likely to be blocked. If no cause is found, contact Saxo support and quote the reference number from the 403 response body.
