Interactive Brokers API error code
Interactive Brokers API error: p6
What does p6 mean on the Interactive Brokers API?
p6 is an IBKR Web API order reply message id. Interactive Brokers lists it among the ids that can be suppressed. In the vendor's table this message says the order will be distributed over multiple accounts and suggests becoming familiar with the allocation facilities first. A reply message is a notice to confirm before the order goes to work, not a rejection.
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.
How do I fix p6?
Confirm the reply at /iserver/reply/{id} to carry on with the order, or do not confirm it. The vendor's suppression endpoint accepts this message id and then accepts such messages automatically for the rest of the brokerage session.
