Interactive Brokers API error code
Interactive Brokers API error: o10336
What does o10336 mean on the Interactive Brokers API?
o10336 is an IBKR Web API order reply message id. Interactive Brokers lists it among the ids that can be suppressed. In the vendor's table this message says the security has limited liquidity, with a heightened risk of not being able to close the position when or at the price you wish, and asks you to confirm. A reply message is a notice to confirm before the order goes to work, not a rejection.
Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.
How do I fix o10336?
Confirm the reply at /iserver/reply/{id} to carry on with the order, or do not confirm it. The vendor's suppression endpoint accepts this message id and then accepts such messages automatically for the rest of the brokerage session.
