Swissquote's APIs are presented on its institutional pages, which you reach by contacting a Swissquote office, not through a self service key. Three trading APIs are named there: a REST API on the OpenWealth standard for securities, cryptocurrencies and FX spot, a FIX API for securities and cryptocurrencies, and a dedicated FIX API for leveraged forex whose stated client types are corporates, banks and retail brokers. Separately, the platform comparison table on Swissquote's UK private client pages lists FIX API as a feature of the CFXD platform and not of MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5, which carry Expert Advisors instead. That table does not say how a private client applies for FIX access.

Yes: the FAQ on Swissquote's institutional securities API page says a demo environment is offered to validate an API integration. The demo account advertised on the UK private client platform pages is a platform demo, and the page does not say that it covers the FIX API.

Unverified. The pages opened on 12 Oct 2026 do not describe how a session is authenticated. The FIX specifications are PDF files on library.swissquote.com, whose robots.txt disallows automated reading, so they were not opened, and the REST specification page did not render its content without scripts.

The institutional Forex API page lists the liquidity channel of its FIX connections as streaming, with request for stream and request for quote also listed for the Integral connection. For securities, the FAQ says no market data is available over the FIX API, and for digital assets a dedicated FIX session gives market data. No streaming limits are stated on the pages opened.
