# Export Trading 212 trade history to Excel or a spreadsheet

Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.

Export your Trading 212 history as a CSV file from the app: menu, History, Export, then pick the dates and the data. Up to 12 months fit in one file. Every step is checked against Trading 212's own help pages, and the one we could not confirm is marked Unverified. On a phone? Yes in the app; the menu path is under Export on a phone.

- Last reviewed: 2026-09-21

Unverified in part: carried over from an earlier version of this site. The links below are the sources it was written from, but its statements have not been re-read at source since the date shown, so check anything you rely on.

## What you get

We have not seen a list of the columns in the file yet.

Trading 212 says the export is a CSV file. For the CFD account it lists the record types and a RecordType column on every row. For Invest and ISA it names orders, transactions and dividends as the data you can pick, and publishes no column list.

## Remind me to do this again

One tap puts two reminders in your own calendar: every three months, and 6 April, the day after the UK tax year ends on 5 April. The file is built in this page and saved by your browser. There is no mailbox behind this site, no account to make and nothing to type, so nothing about you leaves this page.

## Let ChatGPT or Claude tidy the file

Paste this pack, then one prompt, then your exported file with names and account numbers removed. No code, no API key.

### 1. Copy the pack

From Broker API Hub, an independent and unofficial reference (not Trading 212). Checked 21 Sep 2026. Steps marked Unverified could not be confirmed on the broker's own page.

Safety: do not ask me for my password, API key or account number. I will paste only the exported file, with personal details removed.

## How I export it
1. Open History: In the Trading 212 app, open the account you want (Invest, Stocks ISA or CFD), tap the menu icon (three lines), then tap History. (Verified, https://helpcentre.trading212.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016898917-Can-I-export-the-trading-data-from-my-account)
2. Tap Export: Tap the export button on the History screen. A Trading 212 staff post from January 2021 places it in the top right corner of History in the Invest and ISA accounts. (Verified, https://helpcentre.trading212.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016898917-Can-I-export-the-trading-data-from-my-account)
3. Choose dates and data: Pick the time frame, then the data to include: orders, transactions and dividends. Turn Transactions off if you want deposits, withdrawals and transfers left out. One file holds up to 12 months; for a longer history, make one export per 12 month period. For UK tax, set 6 April to 5 April. (Verified, https://helpcentre.trading212.com/hc/en-us/articles/36243765206301-How-to-export-the-trading-data-from-my-CFD-account)
4. Download the CSV: The export can take a while to prepare; Trading 212 sends a notification when the file is ready. The file is CSV, which opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. To find an earlier export, tap the menu icon, then History, then Export, then Recent exports. (Verified, https://helpcentre.trading212.com/hc/en-us/articles/36243765206301-How-to-export-the-trading-data-from-my-CFD-account)
5. On the website: Unverified. Trading 212's help pages give the app steps only. A staff post in January 2021 said exports were coming to the web platform, but we could not confirm today's menu path on a Trading 212 page, so use the app if the website menu looks different. (Unverified, https://community.trading212.com/t/new-feature-export-your-investing-history/35612)
6. CFD account columns: A CFD export can include Closed Positions, Orders, Transactions, Dividends Adjustment, Overnight Interest and Interest on Cash. Every row carries a RecordType column naming its category, with the date and the account currency. (Verified, https://helpcentre.trading212.com/hc/en-us/articles/36243765206301-How-to-export-the-trading-data-from-my-CFD-account)

## The file
Format: CSV
Trading 212 says the export is a CSV file. For the CFD account it lists the record types and a RecordType column on every row. For Invest and ISA it names orders, transactions and dividends as the data you can pick, and publishes no column list.

## What I want
One row per trade in a spreadsheet, with date, market, direction, size, open price, close price and profit or loss in my account currency. Tell me which columns you could not find rather than guessing.
```
### 2. Then one of these prompts
1. I exported my Trading 212 trade history as CSV. Turn it into a spreadsheet with one row per trade and a profit or loss total per month. Tell me which columns you could not find rather than guessing.
2. Check my spreadsheet totals against the account statement and show me any rows where they differ.
## Know when these steps stop working
This guide is accurate on the date at the top of it. Menus move. If you would rather find out from us than from a failed export, the free follow list already tracks API changes in your browser today, and the planned Pro tier would send the changed line itself for the brokers you pick. Pro is not built.
See how we would price Pro
There is nothing to join and no email is asked for anywhere on this site. That page sets out what Pro would include, the illustrative price, which has not been tested with anyone, and what would stop us building it. It asks you nothing: the price question was taken off it, because an answer could only be kept in your own browser where nobody could read it.
## Change log for this export flow
Export flow marks a change to the steps you follow inside a broker's own website or app to get your history out. It is not a change to an API, so it never appears under Breaking or Deprecation. It exists because a broker can move a tab without announcing anything, and the guide that tells you where that tab was should then carry a dated entry rather than a fresh checked date and no explanation.
The steps in this guide are what the broker's own pages described when they were last read, on 21 Sep 2026. If a step moves, the next entry here carries the date it moved, rather than this guide quietly getting a newer checked date.Source [helpcentre.trading212.com](https://helpcentre.trading212.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016898917-Can-I-export-the-trading-data-from-my-account)
The same entries appear on the [changes feed](https://openbrokerapi.com/changes), on the export flow log and in the feeds on the feeds page.
