# Saxo API error: HTTP 400

## What does HTTP 400 mean on the Saxo API?

Saxo rejected the request as sent: it was malformed or it broke a business rule. The body carries an ErrorCode and a Message that name the cause.

## How do I fix HTTP 400?

Read the ErrorCode and Message in the body, and the ModelState object when one is present, then correct the field they name before you send again.
