# Match-Trader API error: 410 Gone

## What does 410 Gone mean on the Match-Trader API?

In the Match-Trader Platform API documentation, the example of a 410 response is plain text, not JSON. It begins "Qfx response exception: while closing positions" and reports that closing failed with the status CLOSE_STATUS_FAILED and the system message "Can't find such position".

## No fix in the source

The vendor's page gives no remedy. In its example the position named in the close request could not be found.
