# Pepperstone API: questions and answers

Independent and unofficial. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any broker or platform named here. Educational only: nothing here is advice, and nothing here recommends a broker or a trade.

Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.

5 questions about the Pepperstone API, each answered from the Pepperstone record on this site (https://openbrokerapi.com/brokers/pepperstone) and nothing else. 3 of the answers rest on a record labelled unverified.

- Newest check: 2026-10-12
- Official documentation: [pepperstone.com](https://pepperstone.com/en/platforms/tools/api-trading)

An answer here is the record's own wording, cut at the end of a sentence, or a list of names read from records. An answer that opens with the word Unverified has no dated source behind it. Where this page and the provider's own documentation differ, the documentation wins. Nothing here recommends a broker.

## Pepperstone API questions

### Does Pepperstone have an API?

Yes. This register records Pepperstone as having its own API (Standard API (protocol not published) and FIX), with availability marked as active. Spread bets and CFDs with MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView, plus an API offered by application.

### Does Pepperstone have a demo or paper trading API?

Partial: Pepperstone's API trading page says an account holder who meets the 160 million euro monthly volume can request access to a FIX demo environment, to test a FIX integration before going live. No demo or sandbox is stated for the Standard API.
