# MetaCopier API: questions and answers

Independent and unofficial. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any broker or platform named here. Educational only: nothing here is advice, and nothing here recommends a broker or a trade.

Risk warning: CFDs and spread bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You can lose money on these products, and each provider publishes its own loss figure under FCA rules. You should consider whether you understand how they work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Automated and API trading can amplify losses through bugs, connectivity failures and runaway orders.

6 questions about the MetaCopier API, each answered from the MetaCopier record on this site (https://openbrokerapi.com/platforms/metacopier) and nothing else. 2 of the answers rest on a record labelled unverified.

- Newest check: 2026-10-12
- Official documentation: [docs.metacopier.io](https://docs.metacopier.io/)

An answer here is the record's own wording, cut at the end of a sentence, or a list of names read from records. An answer that opens with the word Unverified has no dated source behind it. Where this page and the provider's own documentation differ, the documentation wins. Nothing here recommends a broker.

## MetaCopier API questions

### Does MetaCopier have a demo or paper trading API?

Unverified. The MetaCopier documentation pages opened on 12 Oct 2026 (the REST API, SDK, access policy and Socket API pages) describe no demo or sandbox environment and do not say whether a demo trading account can be connected.

- Status: unverified. Source: [MetaCopier documentation, REST API](https://docs.metacopier.io/rest-api/api), checked 2026-10-12.

### What are MetaCopier's API rate limits?

Unverified. The REST API, access policy and Socket API pages of MetaCopier's documentation, opened on 12 Oct 2026, state no request rate limit. The endpoint reference is a Swagger page that was not opened. That is not evidence that there is no limit.

### How do I authenticate with the MetaCopier API?

API keys, of two kinds. A project level key, created under Projects then API Keys, reaches every account in the project. An account key is generated automatically when an account is created and reaches only that account.
